| Description: | The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a global network of policy research centers in Russia, China, Europe, the Middle East and the United States, is seeking a Development Associate to design, implement and coordinate a comprehensive stewardship and donor recognition system. Responsibilities will include initiating regular corporate events with scholars and assisting in briefings with Carnegie experts in fulfillment of the appropriate gift level benefits; engaging with new constituencies and working closely with staff to build relationships; establishing and overseeing regular outreach to prospects and donors; establishing and coordinating individualized stewardship plans; managing the acknowledgement process; drafting letters and stewardship reports; identifying and helping to implement best practices for stewardship planning and operations; working with the Communications team to produce publications and plan events; and planning and implementing special donor event series in different cities, including strategies for the global centers.
The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years� related experience; demonstrated ability to generate creative and strategic solutions for engaging and stewarding donors; strong oral, research, editing, writing and proofreading skills; experience with database management; willingness and confidence to work with a wide variety of policy/academic professionals; ability to work independently, within a small team environment and across a globally networked public policy organization; and experience in executing first-rate small, private events and larger public conferences. Bachelors� degree; advanced degree welcome.
Salary commensurate with experience.
