| Description: | Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a leading think tank specializing in international affairs, is seeking a Research Assistant to join the Middle East Program. The Research Assistant will be responsible for providing day-to-day support of the program's substantive work and research on the situation in Syria, as well as providing program assistance as needed for other projects, conferences and events.
Successful applicants will have an M.A. in International Relations, Middle Eastern Studies, or a related field and/or experience commensurate with same, fluency in Arabic, demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous research, present information clearly and efficiently, work independently and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Position requires strong writing, analytical and computer skills; ability to conduct online research in Arabic, operate under pressure, demonstrate initiate, and interact well as part of a team. Seeking candidate with strong interest in the Middle East and experience with issues related to situation in Syria.
