Unpaid � 35 Hours per Week
Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a leading foreign policy think tank with global operations, is seeking a fall intern to work in the U.S. Role in the World Program. The U.S. Role in the World Program examines issues relating to the United States' position in the global order from a foreign policy, economic, and national security perspective. The program works on issues ranging from the U.S. National Security Council to economic competitiveness.
The intern position requires a very strong background in academic research and writing, with the ability to write detailed and analytical research papers for the scholar. Approximately 30% of duties will include reaching out to different offices and organizations on behalf of the scholar or drafting and sending letters and invitations for roundtable events. Ideal candidate will also have sophisticated knowledge of and interest in U.S. national security and foreign policy. Diligence, thoughtfulness, creativity are critical. Excellent time management, organization and multitasking skills a must.
Internship will begin in the fall and last for the length of the fall semester.
