| Description: | Assistant Editor, Sada
Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a leading think tank specializing in international affairs, seeks an assistant editor for Sada, its Middle East online journal. Responsibilities will include commissioning and editing articles, coordinating with authors, overseeing translations, managing all aspects of web publication, and conducting various outreach initiatives. This position will report to the Editor-in-Chief of Sada.
Ideal candidate will have a strong editorial experience, excellent writing and communication skills, experience with social media outreach, knowledge of current political developments in the Arab world, familiarity with leading authors, scholars, and journalists writing on these topics, and outstanding organizational skills. Intermediate Arabic skills are required, fluency is a plus. B.A. in a discipline such as political science, language, history, or Middle East area studies is required; M.A. is desirable.
