| Description: | The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the world�s premier global think tank, is seeking a dynamic Media Relations Officer with a proven track record in building and maintaining good relations with the full spectrum of U.S. and international media to join its communications team in Washington. This position promotes Carnegie�s work�experts, publications, and events�to broadcast, print, and online media. Responsibilities include serving as the primary point of contact for all interview requests, cultivating relationships with key bookers, producers, and correspondents, crafting a media strategy, managing Carnegie�s video studio, planning press availabilities (calls and breakfasts), building media lists, preparing press materials, monitoring Carnegie�s media coverage, and anticipating news hooks relevant to experts� research.
Requires 2-4 years� relevant experience; demonstrated attention to detail; excellent communications and writing skills. In-depth understanding of and interest in foreign policy issues, the international news cycle, and traditional and new media essential. Must be able to thrive in a team environment.
