The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the world�s premier global think tank, is seeking a dynamic Government Affairs Manager to join its communications team in Washington. The Government Affairs Manager will work closely with Carnegie�s policy experts in their engagement with all branches of the U.S. government. Responsibilities will include building relationships with senior policymakers and staff on both the Hill and in the administration, monitoring the congressional calendar, tracking major legislation affecting Carnegie�s research work, organizing meetings and briefings for Carnegie experts with government officials, recruiting high-level speakers, and working closely with overseas staff.
Position requires a minimum three years of relevant experience; in-depth understanding of, and interest in, foreign policy issues as well as U.S. government operations essential. Excellent communications and writing skills required. Ideal candidate will have an energetic personality and thrive in a team environment.
