Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a leading think tank specializing in international affairs, is seeking an intern to work 20 hours per week in the Energy & Climate Program. Internship will begin as soon as possible. Transportation costs will be paid.
The Energy & Climate Program engages global experts working in energy technology, environmental science, and political economy to develop practical solutions for policy makers around the world. Responsibilities will include tracking news articles on the topic, particularly regarding China's energy and climate policy; summarizing trends in the field; identifying experts; conducting follow up research and creating reports for experts in the program as needed.
Prior experience with coal industry, clean technology, transportation, energy efficiency, or energy and climate legislation in either domestic or international settings a plus. Ability to read Chinese is desirable, but not mandatory. Along with the research aspect, the intern will be dedicating 40% of their energy with administrative tasks assigned by the Program Assistant of the Energy and Climate Program, including database development activities.
