|Description:||The Carnegie Middle East Center is seeking a Research Scholar with experience in political development and policy change in Egypt. The researcher will be based in Egypt and will coordinate with and report to the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut. The researcher will be expected to produce written products on behalf of the Center and to organize periodic events.|
Leading candidates will have a substantial record of policy-relevant research and writing; proven ability to communicate effectively with policy communities in Egypt and internationally; post-educational work and writing experience; and fluency in Arabic and English. Ph.D. or equivalent preferred.
Candidates with substantial research experience in Egyptian transitional politics, political parties, civil society movements, and/or policy development are encouraged to apply. Cover letters should specify primary areas of expertise.
