Exciting part to full-time research assistant position available for 18 to 35 hours per week in the Carnegie Endowment’s U.S. Role in the World Program. Position begins in late June 2012 and is jointly paid by the Carnegie Endowment and The Rothkopf Group. The research assistant will contribute to a forthcoming book about the National Security Council during the Obama administration. The candidate will also provide administrative and clerical assistance to the Economic Strategy Roundtable series. Responsibilities include writing thoughtful research papers, reaching out to roundtable invitees, coordinating meetings among senior-level officials, staffing conferences and writing succinct event summaries.
Position requires a strong academic background in research and writing, sophisticated knowledge of and interest in international affairs, experience planning events, and solid computer skills. Diligence, thoughtfulness, and creativity are critical. Undergraduate degree required. Valuable opportunity to work with a distinguished scholar on an exciting and pertinent project.
