| Description: | Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a leading think tank specializing in international affairs, seeks to fill a Deputy Director position in its Washington, DC-based Middle East Program. The position will report to the Vice President for Studies.
The Deputy Director will manage the program�s operations in Washington including meetings, conferences, briefings, publications, fundraising, and other initiatives, in addition to conducting his or her own research and writing. This position will work to maintain and enhance the program�s profile as an important source of timely and innovative analysis of political, social, and strategic developments in the region. Ideal candidate will have deep expertise on the Middle East, proven ability to work with the Washington policy community, demonstrated excellence in writing and editing; management experience, and attention to detail; advanced degree and/or relevant experience in government.
