| Description: | Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a leading think tank specializing in international affairs with global operations, is seeking a creative, energetic individual to lead and expand the institution�s fundraising activities. Position will work with senior management and research staff to help develop strategy, identify and research funding sources, and develop contacts across a range of funders including private foundations, corporate foundations, corporations, and government agencies. The Director will help represent the Endowment in development activities, cultivate donors and potential donors, write grant proposals and reports and manage day-to-day aspects of fundraising program. The Director will supervise a staff of 3.
Ideal candidate will have 8-10 years� related experience, including successful solicitation of foundation and corporation grants, outstanding written and oral communications skills and experience in policy and research-related institutions, preferably in international affairs.
