| Description: | Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a leading think tank specializing in international affairs, seeks an assistant managing editor for the Arab Reform Bulletin (ARB), a monthly online journal. Responsibilities will include commissioning articles, working closely with authors on substantive and style edits, overseeing translations, managing all aspects of web publication, and reaching marketing partnerships. Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief of the ARB, this position will supervise a part-time assistant editor based in the Carnegie Middle East Center.
Successful candidate will have related experience and extensive knowledge of current political developments in the Arab world, familiarity with scholars and journalists writing on these topics, writing and editing experience, and outstanding organizational skills. Candidate must read and write Arabic and English fluently and be able to read extensively and edit articles in both languages. M.A. in a discipline such as political science, language, history, or Middle East area studies is desirable.
