Description:Deputy Director of Communications

Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the world�s premier global think tank, is seeking a dynamic Deputy Director of Communications to help manage its Communications team in Washington, DC and implement the broad range of Carnegie�s communications strategies. Ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a proven track record in communications, who can work alongside the Director of Communications in overseeing the Carnegie Endowment�s outreach activities, including media and government relations, content, online communications, social media, design and marketing. Must have strong writing skills and a demonstrated ability to run the editing and production process for print and online content. Position will have frequent interaction with Carnegie�s scholars and will serve as a point person for coordination with the communications staff in Carnegie�s offices around the world to ensure coordinated campaigns and consistent global standards.

Candidates should have a minimum of five years� experience in communications, media relations or public affairs. In-depth understanding of and interest in foreign policy required. Seeking an energetic personality with outstanding interpersonal skills, who will thrive in a team environment.
